about

This was done in one take with my brother Daniel on the final few minutes of recording. Tracked all live, we then recorded the strings in my mother's garage with Ben Rawlins and added Double Bass on the final days of mixing.

lyrics

So much of getting old is getting old with you

You’d pout catching a wrinkle and I’d just show you two

Knees creak from out our seats, but we’d still dance like lovers do

So much of getting old’s now getting over you

So much of getting old is getting old with you

We watch our youth degrade while our children grew

Pass on some infinite wisdom and what little that we knew

I’ll keep an eye on us while we’re getting over you

So much of getting old is getting over you

So much of seeming strong is just seeing this day through

So much of what you gave will just fade if I fade too

So much can seem so much longer while getting over you

I’m gonna see it through darling through darling

I’m gonna see it through darling through darling

I’m gonna see it through darling through darling

I’m gonna see it through darling through darling

If not for me then for you

If not for me then for you

If not for me then for you

If not for me then for you

Learning piano from the age of 5, music became an essential part of James' life and it only expanded when finding the guitar and other instruments. With music being a medium in which James could process tragedy or moments of elation, it became an integral part of his life.

Baby Farm is out now, the crops are ready for harvest and the livestock are screaming.
